The Xàtiva Badminton Club will be present at the next Senior European Championship, which starts next Sunday in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and runs until August 13. Two from Setabense will compete in this European tournament: Mª José Mompó and Carlos Martínez. Mª José will participate in the +35 category and will play the women’s doubles event, together with Silvia Rueda, and mixed doubles, with David Hernansanz. Carlos will compete in the category of over 70 years, in the men’s singles and men’s doubles, along with the Danish Niels Jorgen Madsen. The European Senior Championships 2022 in Slovenia will bring together some 1,081 athletes. The two Setabenses will start the competition next Monday at the Dvorana Center Stozice.
