Transfers abroad: Kasper Schmeichel now defends the goal of Nice | Foreign football

Kasper Schmeichel continues his career with French first division team OGC Nice, leaving Leicester City.

Schmeichel, 35, is a Leicester club icon. He played there since 2011 and appeared in 479 games. Highlights were the title in 2016 and the FA Cup in 2021.

German goalkeeper Bernd Leno trades Arsenal for FC Fulham. The 30-year-old international has signed a two-year contract until 2025, with an option for another year.

Leno had come to Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018. He played more than 100 games in the Premier League but lost his status as the number one between the Gunners’ posts to Aaron Ramsdale last season.
