Dhe newly formed basketball team of the Veolia Towers Hamburg started the preparation for the season in the BBL at the weekend. Coach Raoul Korner welcomed 14 players to the training ground on Saturday. Among them were Harrison Cleary and Michal Kozak from cooperation partner SC Rist Wedel as well as Towers talents Al-Fayed Alegbe, Jayden Fatnassi and Darren Egbe.
On the other hand, Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann and Ziga Samar (Slovenia), who belong to their countries’ extended squad for the European Championship, were not there. The Towers will play their first competitive game on September 28 at German champions Alba Berlin.
