The Colombian National Team begins its preparation with a view to the start of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, to which it would be unforgivable not to qualify.
Now that Fifa has expanded the football party to 48 teams, the door is open for the tricolor team to return to a world cup after being left out of Qatar 2022.
The team now led by Néstor Lorenzo will have its first test to build up the player base, when it faces its counterpart from Guatemala, prior to the start of the South American qualifiers.

The strategist is expected to make a mixed call with players who are part of foreign clubs and complete it with men who play in the BetPlay League.
Tickets for friendly Colombia vs. Guatemala
The Colombian Football Federation confirmed through its website that tickets for the friendly match are already on sale.
The preparation commitment will be played at the Red Bull Arena, home of the MLS team New York Red Bulls and which has a capacity of 25,189 spectators.
