The Piacenza Baseball Under 15 team closes the first part of the season in 4th place

The most experienced team in the Piacenza Baseball youth sector puts the first part of the season behind it with a smile on its mouth. In the tough Emilia group of the western area, the red and white have been able to defend themselves with gritted teeth and in the end they have snatched a fourth place with a considerable specific weight.

In the group dominated by Sala Baganza (record 12-0) the Piacentines finished tied with Junior Parma (5 wins and 7 defeats), also behind Codogno and Crocetta Parma but ahead of Collecchio and Poviglio.

He manager Andrea D’Auria he does not hide his satisfaction: “We returned to this category after several seasons of absence, having to deal with the distances dictated by the regular diamond of De Benedetti. An approach to real baseball, served both to those who land in U18 next year and to the younger teammates who again this year divided with the U14 Allievi championship ”.

The experience will also continue in 2023 when the U18 will also appear on the horizon. Already in recent months Riccardo Lovattini, Peter Mandas e Andrea Pancini they experienced the interesting reality of U18 up close, which represents the antechamber of the major teams. All three played midweek with Crocetta Parma anticipating their debut in a championship that in 2017 reserved for Piacenza the extraordinary satisfaction of third place at national level with a team in which the various Molina, Sanna, Minoia, Casana who today wear the red and white shirt in B.

After a short break, training will resume at the end of the month in view of the Regional Tournament which will start on 10 September and for which the calendars are awaited. Closing event then the Farnese Tournament of the 50th in October.
