The luck of Real Madrid and Atleti is the misfortune for Barça and Seville

The Champions League anthem is about to be played again in the most important stadiums in European football. Now that the last teams have qualified, all that remains is to know the groups to be able to play the first phase of the highest European competition.

Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, FC Barcelona and Sevilla were waiting to find out their first three rivals for this new European season. Those who had luck on their side in the draw held in Istanbul were the two teams from Madrid. The current champion of the ‘orejona’ will have to face Leipzig, Shakhtar and Celtic for Group F; Porto, Bayer Leverkusen and Bruges await the rojiblancos in Group B.

The other side of the coin has been seen by Sevilla and Barça, who, a priori, will have to be epic given the level of their rivals and be able to qualify for the next round. Both were in pot 2, as was Atlético de Madrid; the Catalans will face each other in Group C with Bayern, Inter and Viktoria Plisen. The sevillistas, placed in Group G, will face Manchester City, Dortmund and Copenhagen.

PSG will not have it easy either, as they will meet Juventus and Benfica. Not an easy challenge for Neymar, Messi and Mbappé, who will have to give their all in this first phase of the Champions League and avoid inappropriate relaxation.
