“THE IPD WOULD HAVE TO ANALYZE IN GIVING AN INSURANCE TO THE ATHLETE WHEN THEY RETIRE” – RCR Peru

RCR, August 05, 2022 .- Judo is one of the disciplines of the martial art that little by little is becoming more accepted in the country and above all that more young people can practice it despite the fact that many times it does not have the necessary support and diffusion.

RCR Deportes spoke with Michael Jordan Patiño, an athlete in the discipline of Judo, and told us about his beginnings in this sport and the different tournaments in which he has been able to participate representing the country.

“I started at the age of 7 in the discipline of Judo and currently this discipline has grown quite a bit in Arequipa, it is also worth mentioning that when I started with this sport each club was very dispersed and there was no such synchrony to carry out Judo in the regions. and the same thing happened within the federation since there was no clear job, but now it is totally different and a clear objective is already seen”, he stressed.

Patiño then stated that there is important work being done by the Peruvian Judo Federation to provide all the support and be part of the growth of this sport in all regions of the country.

“Currently the clubs must be affiliated with the Peruvian federation so that they can receive certain benefits because if they are not affiliated they will not be able to receive any benefits and it seems to me that now it is better and future generations are gradually being trained with better strategies” , held.

For this discipline it is important to be constant with the training and to be able to maintain a balance which will allow improvement in several aspects and to be a reference to it, Michael Patiño said the following.

“You have to have a balance and learn to be organized with studies and training. I am currently studying sports science and I have been able to adjust my schedules for both my studies and my training and the Federation also supports the athlete in this regard, ”he exclaimed.
