On the 15th, the handball competition of the Social Club Group of the Youth Department of the 17th Provincial Games ended in Wuping, Longyan. The Fuzhou No. 7 handball team, representing Fuzhou, won the championship with a clean record in the women’s first division. This is another championship for the Fuzhou handball team after the 2022 Fujian Youth Handball Championship.
Handball combines the laws of football, rugby and other sports. It is mainly characterized by “chasing” and “fighting”. It integrates running, jumping and throwing. It has the characteristics of strong confrontation and high skill.
The club handball competition is divided into 4 groups: men’s and women’s A and B. A total of nearly 400 athletes from 21 teams from Xiamen, Quanzhou, Fuzhou, Sanming, Ningde, Longyan and other places participated. Fuzhou City sent a total of 4 teams to participate in the competition, namely Fuzhou No. 7 Middle School (women’s group A, men’s group B), Lianjiang County Shangde Middle School (men’s group A), and Lianjiang County No. 4 Middle School (women’s group B).
In the women’s Group A match, the athletes of Fuzhou No. 7 Middle School fought bravely forward, passing the ball, shooting, blocking, intercepting and other actions are very delicate, everyone cooperated closely, defended actively, made breakthroughs decisively, and finally won the championship with a complete victory.
In addition to the women’s first group, the other three teams in Fuzhou also performed well. The men’s handball team of Lianjiang Shangde Middle School, which just won the provincial youth handball championship, won the second place in the men’s group A, the Lianjiang No. 4 middle handball team won the third place in the women’s second group, and the Fuzhou No. 7 middle handball team won the fourth place in the men’s second group.
In another report, the judo competition of the Youth Division of the 17th Fujian Provincial Games continued yesterday in Pucheng, Nanping. Zhang Kun and Zheng Zhizhi of the Fuzhou Judo Men’s Team won two gold medals in the 55kg category and the 81kg category in Group A. Xu Zhanghaoyang Won the bronze medal in the Men’s A 55kg class.
