The French stumble in front of the Czech Republic and no longer have the right to make mistakes

The French women’s baseball team lost this Thursday, August 4 against the Czechs (11-9). A defeat which could have important consequences for the Bleues who are forced to beat the United Kingdom this Friday (5 p.m.).

After the victory of the Dutch over the British (12-2), the Blue of Lahcène Benhamida could take a step ahead of their pursuers this Thursday but the beauty of baseball showed that nothing is written in advance and that it will take patience and fresh water to hold on to Veyrassi between now and Saturday’s final.

It was after 3:15 of play that the Czech Republic stood up to the protected Geoffrey Moschetti (attack coach) with a tight score of 11 to 9.

“We had a bad start, it was a match that we clearly offered by losing six points in the first set then 8-0 at the end of the second set. We had the ability to come back, we lacked lucidity on certain actions but tomorrow we will come and take the victory absolutely.”

It was on the fourth inning that the defending champions scored their first two points (8-2) with Yasmine Derbal as the batsman who stirred up the Czechs in the outfield.

Doubt changes sides during the fifth and sixth innings in favor of Les Bleues. But not enough to reverse the outcome of this meeting. This Friday, against the British, they will have no room for error.

At 11 a.m., Netherlands / Rep. Czech then at 5 p.m., France / United Kingdom.
