Girona Basketball took advantage of the dispute in Platja d’Aro in the 3×3 tournament yesterday to present the two teams that are competing this summer in the circuit of this modality. And they do it, moreover, as they demonstrated yesterday on the Costa Brava, with very good results. To the men’s team, which this season consists of Nacho Martín, Àlex Llorca, Javi Vega and Juan Coffi (present yesterday in Platja d’Aro), plus Xavi Guirao, Sergio de la Fuente and Fede Ucles, has been added the Women’s 3×3, with Marta Canella, Vega Gimeno, Aitana Cuevas and Sandra Ygueravide. The latter, captain of the team, detailed that with the Platja d’Aro tournament they practically concluded the course of the premiere and gave a very positive assessment: “we have played tournaments both in Spain and in France and had good results everywhere. When you finish the season and start with the 3×3 it’s always a bit difficult to start, but we did well. We have gained experience and this will serve us as faces in the future».
The boys still have challenges ahead. “Our roadmap is to return to Estonia this weekend after the good result last Saturday, then we will go to Belgrade, Vigo and Switzerland. There are still things to do. And if we have good results in these remaining tournaments, we will qualify to play in others later and continue competing.”
