SV Werder Bremen: The Werder way, but now really – sport

Werder Bremen dreamed of the European Cup and woke up when they were relegated. The club now describes its year in the second division as a “fasting cure” – and wants to be an example of how a traditional club can survive in the Bundesliga.

Everyone knows how to convince football players to transfer. The best argument remains: money. Even better: a lot of money. This in turn is a problem for clubs that have little money, especially for those who used to be reasonably well off and now want to belong to at least the middle class. The four-time German champion and current Bundesliga promoted Werder Bremen is such a club. They have therefore come up with a lure there that is difficult to plagiarize at other locations. It reads: Werder Bremen.
