A one-cup photo? D rather not…
Robert Lewandowski (33) just said goodbye to Bayern, but had another photo taken with all the trophies: Lewy surrounded by a number of trophies and bowls.
Treainer Julian Nagelsmann (35) now admitted that he refused a similar photo – for lack of trophies!
Nagelsmann with a smile: “I would also like to take a picture like that, where there are more things like that. They wanted to take one of me in the summer, so I said: No way, what does it look like? I would have to I’m thinking about taking some medals from swimming from the Bundesjugendspiele, but they didn’t want that, so I didn’t take the photo, I hope that after this season we can do it with a little more jewelry around me …”
Nagelsmann celebrated his first championship this year
In his first season, Nagelsmann “only” won the championship trophy. That’s one of the reasons why the expectations for the second season are of course much higher. Nagelsmann also knows: “Of course my first championship was nice. But you can tell from the whole club: We are very happy when we win the championship, but we crave more. The double with the DFB Cup is always the goal. I think the Champions League , you can’t plan for it. Of course we’d like to make progress there, but that also depends on the lots and on how lucky you are in the game. It sometimes happens that you’re eliminated. Of course our goal is to be successful.”
Nagelsmann also knows that the pressure from the bosses is there and can live with it: “It’s normal at Bayern Munich that we strive for the highest, as the president says. That’s right too. What else can he say? We’re satisfied with mediocrity for the first time this year? I don’t give a shit if we become champions? He has to say that because that’s how it is. I put the pressure on myself to be more successful!”
