I am amazed by the accusations and tones, considering that in just two years all the 18 municipal structures and even the school gyms have been brought into order by the management jungle in which they had been immersed for years and have been made available to the community, so much so that they have become headquarters of events that never happened in Chieti “.
To say it is the councilor for Sport, Manuel Pantalone in response to the criticisms of the councilor of Chieti Viva, Giampiero Riccardo.
“Not only are they in operation, but they are efficient and accessible to all city associations, both the 16 in indirect management and the two directly managed – says the commissioner – as for the Pala Colle dell’Ara, which has a vocation for basketball , with a great sense of responsibility and in a moment of absolute need, we have assigned it to a temporary use as a service to the vaccination campaign, also because in the conditions in which the structure is located after years of lack of maintenance, it could not be otherwise, but not that will be its future, so much so that with the area adjacent to the baseball stadium, together with the councilor for Public Works Stefano Rispoli we have included it in a redevelopment project of 1.5 million euros, already approved and financed by the PNRR, which will allow us to make it more efficient and bring it within the legal perimeters of Article 80 of the Tulps “.
On the Angelini Pantalone stadium he said that “we are waiting for other resources that will greatly improve the facility, but today we can rightly say that every sports club has places to train, while previously more facilities, including the stadium, we seem to remember that have been closed even for a long time to sport and the city. Well, today it does not happen: we are ensuring the usability of all the facilities and providing both a virtuous and transparent management, also producing revenue for the Authority, both redevelopment, and finally, to the maximum usability, giving full support to city sport and free spaces to host national and international events. Never, as today and after such a difficult period as the pandemic one, has Chieti given space and space to sport, to all its disciplines and to those who practice it both at a competitive and amateur level “.
