Deportivo Independiente Medellín defeated Independiente Santa Fe 2-0 for the eighth date in League II-2022. With goals from Jorge Segura and Adrián Arregui, the Antioquia team returned to add a victory that motivates them for what is to come in the League and Copa Colombia.

A minute later, Edwin Herrera from mid-range, narrowly beat goalkeeper Andrés Mosquera Marmolejo, Neyder Moreno created another chance, but his shot went wide.

At the end of the first half, tempers flared, with strong play in the center of the field. In the end, the powerful went into the break with a minimal advantage on the scoreboard over a Cardinal team that had the ball but was not deep.
