Famous name in the Schalke approach
That would be a prominent reinforcement for FC Schalke 04!
As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano first reported, the Royal Blues are about to sign striker Jordan Larsson (25).
BILD knows: The Swede is already expected in Gelsenkirchen today! Tomorrow the medical check should be done and the transfer announced.
Larsson was most recently at Russian club Spartak Moscow and spent the last two months of last season on loan at AIK Solna in his home country. He had terminated his contract in Moscow in July, so Larsson is moving to the Ruhrpott club on a free transfer.
With the transfer, sports director Rouven Schröder (46) brings the desired striker, who is supposed to take pictures for the Knappen alongside the currently ailing Simon Terodde (34) and Sebastian Polter (31), who is currently in poor form.
Goal scoring is always in his genes. His father is Henrik Larsson (50), who scored 139 competitive goals for Scottish club Celtic Glasgow from 1997 to 2004 and won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2006.
Last season, however, the Larsson son struggled in front of goal. In the Russian league he has not scored once in 17 appearances, in Sweden he has scored three goals in eleven games.
Larsson is now hoping for a goal comeback at Schalke.
