Hasan Salihamidzic has delivered in recent weeks. The 45-year-old was repeatedly criticized for his poor transfer policy before the transfer summer. With the signing of Sadio Mané, Matthijs de Ligt & Co., the Bosnian not only convinced the fans of his work, but also those responsible at FC Bayern. According to current media reports, Salihamidzic’s contract extension is imminent.
While Hasan Salihamidzic has recently extended numerous player contracts, the focus is now on his own contract extension. The sports director of Munich is only tied to the record champions until the summer of 2023. While there were reports in the spring that the extension was on the brink, this now seems to be just a formality.

President and Chairman of the Supervisory Board Herber Hainer recently emphasized that Salihamidzic’s extension is almost over: “We said that we would first wait for the transfer period, as soon as it’s over, we’ll sit down, talk to each other and then we’ll do it Nails with heads. I’m absolutely satisfied with his work,” he told Sky.
As reported by “Sport BILD”, the extension is to be finally approved in the upcoming Supervisory Board meeting on August 29th. Accordingly, “Brazzo” is waving a new contract until 2026. The former Bayern professional took over the sporting management at FC Bayern in the summer of 2017.
