RTVE will have the rights for Spain of the European Championships Munich 2022

Ahe least 40 members of the EBU offer exhaustive television, radio and digital coverage of the European Championships Munich 2022the second edition of the multi-sport event, to be held in the Bavarian city from August 11 to 21.

The European Championships are held every four years, in collaboration with the chains of Europe free television. This year’s edition will add the continental athletics championships; cycling (road, track, mountain bike and BMX); artistic gymnastics; rowing; triathlon; Beach volleyball; climbing; canoeing and table tennis.

The EUR members who will be broadcasting the European Championships Munich 2022 are: ORF (Austria); RTBF and VRT (Belgium); BNT/BNR (Bulgaria); HRT (Croatia); CYBC (Cyprus); CT/CR (Czech Republic); DR (Denmark); ERR (Estonia); YLE (Finland); France Televisions/SRF/RFI (France); ARD and ZDF (Germany); ERT (Greece); MTVA (Hungary); RUV (Iceland); RTE (Ireland); RAI (Italy); LT/LR (Latvia); LRT (Lithuania); NOS (Netherlands); NRK (Norway); DVT/PR (Poland); RTP (Portugal); RTR (Russia); RTS (Serbia); RTVS (Slovakia); RTVSLO (Slovenia); RTVE (Space); SVT/SR (Sweden); SRG-SSR (Switzerland); TRT (Turkey); BBC (United Kingdom).

So far more than 3,500 hours live, deferred and digital on more than 50 channels. A significant increase compared to the 3,000 hours at the inaugural Glasgow/Berlin 2018 edition.

Glen KillaneExecutive Director of Eurovision Sportsaid: “The second edition of the European Championships is the culmination of an incredible sporting summer. Munich hosts these championships 50 years after hosting the olympic gamesand this event will be the biggest multi-sport event held in Germany since then”.

Munich come to life during 11 that of high-level competition focused on the olympic park of the city, with 50 participating nations, 177 tests with medals and 4700 athletes, all this captured by the cameras and microphones of the Members of the EBU.

Monk 2022 cheese the biggest sporting event in Germany since the 1972 Summer Olympics and reuse many of the venues of those Games, such as the emblematic Olympic Stadium, the Olympic Pavilion and the Olympic Regatta Center in Munich.

La competicin go accompanied by a cultural festival called “The Roofs” and a program of mass participation events, so that everyone feels part of the European Championships.
