Lewandowski-Party in Barcelona
Lewandowski mania in Barcelona! On Friday, the striker whose transfer caused so much trouble was unveiled at the Camp Nou.
The Barça fans gave Robert Lewandowski (33) an incredible welcome! Over 40,000 fans came at 33 degrees and waited for the star striker in the heat.
Huge cheers as he steps onto the pitch at 12.35pm. “Lewandowski, Lewandowski”, echoes through the audience when the attacker in the blue and red jersey with his number 9 enters the field. Wife Anna sits on the substitution bench in the first row, filming everything with her cell phone.
Also at the edge of the field: Agent Pini Zahavi (78) with sunglasses. He had guided his superstar from Bavaria to Barça in long negotiations. “Thank you Pini Zahavi, you brought Robert to Barcelona,” the visibly proud President Juan Laporta thanks the agent.
Then Lewandowski speaks: “I’m proud to be here. It’s been a long road, but in the end I’m here! I will give you many goals.” He promises: “There will be magic in the stadium in every game.”
The striker can even speak Spanish: At the microphone he greets the fans with “Bon Dia”. And the Barca fans are freaking out!
Then the traditional juggling in front of the followers. Lewandowski lets the ball rest on his forehead, shows tricks, pirouettes – and the Camp Nou cheers as if the financially troubled club had won the championship.
After eight years at Bayern, the striker, who scored 344 goals in 374 games for Bayern, started a new life today. He did his first lap of honor at the end of his presentation in the stadium.
