Premier League: Will Turkey save him now? England star Alli’s blatant crash – SOCCER

Nobody would have believed that a few years ago.

According to the English newspaper “Daily Mail”, Everton star Deli Alli (26) is about to move to Turkey. Besiktas Istanbul are keen to sign the playmaker.

The 14-time Turkish champions would love to loan Alli out, and the move could become official towards the end of the week.

The former England international is no longer needed at Everton. Alli only switched from Tottenham to the Liverpool club on a free transfer at the end of January, but was unable to record a scorer point in 13 competitive appearances.

With coach Frank Lampard (44) he is therefore left out – and could now flee to Turkey!

For Alli that would probably be a new career low point. Just a few years ago, during his time at Tottenham, he was considered one of the greatest talents in world football.

At the age of 22, he was worth an incredible 100 million euros in 2018 according to “transfermarkt.de”! But then the crash followed.

When coach Mauricio Pochettino (50), his biggest sponsor at Spurs, was fired in 2019, Alli’s playing time dwindled more and more.

The Argentine coach once compared his protégé to Diego Maradona († 60) and Ronaldinho (42)!

Pochettino: “Maradona was a talented, gifted player; so strong, physically, with a natural body that’s strong, fast and powerful, but then his character, that’s winning, that’s the DNA. His charisma was the best he had. When he entered the room, everyone looked at him, everyone wanted to touch him, wanted a picture with him.”

And further: “Ronaldinho at Paris St. Germain was similar. And it’s similar with Dele. When he scores goals, the kids love him like he’s Ronaldinho.”

But almost four years after its market value high, the former super talent is now “only” worth 16 million euros – a loss of 84 million euros!

England coach Gareth Southgate (51) no longer has him on the list. He made his last appearance for the national team in 2019.

Now Alli apparently wants to save his career in Turkey.
