Perfect start for the lions – Sport

It wasn’t just applause when Fynn Lakenmacher was substituted in the 86th minute and slowly walked to the sidelines, it was a storm of cheers. The 22-year-old TSV 1860 attacker laughed and approached his coach Michael Köllner, who hugged him appreciatively. The lions won the third division game against SV Meppen 4-0 (1-0), so after three games they got off to a perfect start with nine points, and by the way, Lakenmacher with two goals has the gradually emerging concerns of a possible striker problem because of the Marcel Bär’s long-term injury ended impressively.

Given the performance this time, there wasn’t much time for 1860 domestic politics, but there was. After there were multiple protests against investor Hasan Ismaik and his representative in Munich, Anthony Power, in the 3-2 win over Osnabrück last Saturday, it was not surprising that the protest continued on Tuesday evening. The controversial flag with the crossed-out Ismaik likeness was waved again, this time even 20 minutes before kick-off. And this despite the fact that the management had appealed publicly not to show them. At the beginning of the second half, something surprising happened: When the curve started the no less controversial, so-called “scheichlied”, whistles could be heard from the back straight – parts of the fan base obviously primarily want peace and a focus on the Soccer.

Captain Stefan Lex was initially on the bench, Yannick Deichmann was absent due to illness

But there were also a few surprises on the pitch, as several regular players were initially missing: Captain Stefan Lex took a seat on the bench, and the strong Yannick Deichmann was absent due to illness. At the beginning, the offensive power of the two was still missing, Sixty was dangerous in the first 20 minutes only in standard situations, namely after free kicks by Martin Kobylanski, who tested the responsiveness of Meppen goalkeeper Joans Kersken with his free kick cross on the far post (2nd), a Fifteen minutes later he put a central free kick just wide of the left post (17th). Verlaat then got a good shot after a corner kick, but acted too hastily (20′).

But then Kobylanski showed that he can also be dangerous from the game if he has to. First he failed in a one-on-one against Kersken after Fynn Lakenmacher had sent him off with a volley (28′), but a minute later the 28-year-old Pole ran jubilantly to the corner flag and all the team-mates followed – although he was in the game Joseph Boyamba started a diagonal ball from a suspected offside position (29′). Kobylanski had played for Eintracht Braunschweig for the past three years but has not come close to matching his goalscoring tally from the 2019/20 season when he scored 18 times. After an hour, he was substituted for Captain Lex.

Then Lakenmacher took over – and how. The 22-year-old had already proven himself to be diligent and strong in a duel during the preparation. This time, too, TSV Havelse’s access was always playable, but in the first half it was still too hectic at the end when Erik Tallig cleared him perfectly in the penalty area, but Lakenmacher’s shot on goal was too harmless due to his poor ball control (36′).

Things looked much better in the 63rd minute, thanks to a perfect take on the chest, with which he let two opponents out, then he hammered the ball into the distant Kreuzeck – 2:0 (63rd). Only three minutes later he had outwitted the completely harmless opponents again, he speculated correctly on a free kick from Albion Vrenezi and was able to dust off the second post (66th). Substitute Lex had apparently rested enough, he scored with a precise shot to make it 4-0 (81st). The fans didn’t shout anything critical anymore, but only “leader, leader” after nine points from three games, the victory could have been even higher. On Wednesday, however, the competition at the top can catch up, Sixty plays at SC Verl on Saturday.
