Top-class international basketball with a strong line-up of stars from the NBA and Europe: MagentaSport will show all 76 games of the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 live from September 1st to 18th, 2022. All German games are broadcast free of charge.

It starts for the German team in the strongest group on September 1st in Cologne at 8.30 p.m. (broadcast starts at 8 p.m.) against France. 24 nations compete in Germany, Italy, Georgia and the Czech Republic for the crown in European basketball.
MagentaSport accompanies the EuroBasket 2022 with a top offer and up to 10 hours of live programming. In addition, a conference on the game-free days of the DBB selection summarizes all games. MagentaSport reports directly from the arenas with prominent guests and basketball experts on the German group games in Cologne and the knockout phase in Berlin. Per Günther strengthens the team of experts
New to the team of experts is Per Günther, who ended his career in May after 500 BBL and 65 international matches and is now bringing his expertise to the analysis of the European Championship games on site. “Starting as an expert like this, directly at a basketball championship, is certainly unusual and immediately a nice challenge,” says Per Günther happily. “As an expert, I don’t want to come across as a buddy type. I’m sure I still have to find my role, which lies between a casual approach and a clear speech,” continued Günther. Per Günther strengthens the group of experts around the ex-national players Denis Wucherer, Pascal Roller and Alex Vogel. They also work as co-commentators with reporters Michael Körner, Basti Ulrich, Chris Schmidt and Stefan Koch.
