Óscar Estupiñán earns praise from his Hull City manager | Colombians Abroad

Hull City are one of the Championship teams pushing at the top of the league in search of promotion. Reading dominate, Sheffield United second and a position below are the ‘Tigers’ who dream of returning to the Premier League. Hull acquired the Colombian striker, Óscar Estupiñán with a huge future. At just 25 years old, he fell in love with Portugal playing for Vitoria Guimaraes, and now in England too.

Six matches have been played in the Championship, where Óscar Estupiñán has been the protagonist in each of those matches played. He has scored seven goals, got his first treble in the tournament against Coventry City, and is also the leading scorer. So much so that Hull City used their Twitter account to silence the other clubs by maintaining that, “respond to this tweet if you have scored more goals in the Championship this season than Óscar Estupiñán”.

Shota Arveladze is also charmed by the Colombian player. After his hat-trick, he mentioned, “a striker of good quality who has his own qualities. The guys understand that he needs more balls at 18 and he is good there”. In turn, he highlighted Estupiñán for his annotations, “he is searching, he goes, he is dominating, he does not leave easy balls for the others, so he blocks, goes to the first post and scores his goals and scores us more points”.

He also highlighted the intensity of Óscar Estupiñán, “they call this Pichichi in Spanish, he is someone who is chasing all the time around the two posts and having headers, having these blows, taking central defenders away from positions, which is Okay”.
