One thing from Haaland that impressed Guardiola

Manchester

Pep Guardiola revealed one thing from Erling Haaland that impressed him. The Manchester City manager did not mention goals.

Haaland was signed by City from Borussia Dortmund in the transfer market this summer. The Norwegian has arrived with a reputation as one of the best strikers in the world.

Haaland marked his Premier League debut with City with two goals. The 22-year-old striker scored a goal to deliver The Citizens 2-0 win over West Ham United.

Not only admiring Haaland’s quality on the pitch, Guardiola was also impressed by the attitude of his new player. Guardiola called Haaland so humble and not stingy to share knowledge with young players.

“He is a special player,” said Guardiola as reported by the club’s official website.

“No need to tell me, everyone knows that, but we’ve only been together a few times. He’s a great competitor and wants to win.”

“What impressed me the most was that he was a very humble person for a person who had a very good education, how often he spoke with young players, not just the important players we had.”

“He has adjusted well,” Guardiola said of Erling Haaland.
