Neymar, Savanier, Sotoca… vote for the best player of the 1st day of Ligue 1

Why they are named

Neymar (PSG) : The return of the one that the Parisian supporters nicknamed “The King”? Against Clermont (0-5), Neymar confirmed his flamboyant form of the moment with a goal and three assists. And believe it or not, he once again defended.

Lionel Messi (PSG) : After a first season of adaptation, will we finally see the “real” Messi? In view of his XXL match against Clermont (0-5), the answer seems to be positive. Author of a double, the Argentinian ended his recital with a marvel of returned scissors, and his name was chanted by Gabriel-Montpied.

Sofiane Diop (Monaco) : The revenge of the Monegasque attacking midfielder! Put aside by Philippe Clement at the end of last season, Diop was able to count on the confidence of his coach against Strasbourg (2-1). Confidence restored by scoring the winning goal. Without resentment, evidenced by the embrace between the two men.

Thijs Dallinga (TFC) : Toulouse made a successful return to Ligue 1 by sharing the points with Nice (1-1), and that’s partly thanks to their new striker. After a post, the Dutchman set the sights on a golden serve from Van den Boomen, and he could have scored a brace afterwards if not for a superb save from Jean-Clair Todibo.

Alexandre Lacazette (OL) : As if he had never left… The OL-trained striker celebrated his return as it should: an assist for Tete, and a converted penalty to offer the three points to Les Gones, who got off to a good start championship.

Teji Savanier (Montpellier) : New season but the theorem remains valid: sunny Sunday + lawn of the Mosson = masterclass of Téji Savanier. The Montpellier midfielder once again lit up a meeting, this time against Troyes. The 30-year-old captain gave his team victory with a brace and an absolutely brilliant strike in the 81st minute.

Yvon Mvogo (Lorient) : For his first match in Ligue 1, the Swiss goalkeeper, author of six saves, shone and was decisive in the victory of Les Merlus during the Breton derby against Rennes (0-1).

Jonathan David (Lille) : LOSC did not go into detail against the promoted from Auxerre (4-1) and David showed his fangs. With two goals and an assist, the Canadian showed that he was determined to move up a gear.

Nuno Tavares (OM) : A thunderous first in Ligue 1 for the Portuguese side. Hyperactive on his left side, Tavares conquered the Vélodrome and made it jump on his very beautiful goal at the end of the first half.

Florian Sotoca (Lens) : The big man of this Lens-Brest (3-2) is him. Author of a hat-trick, the first of his career, Sotoca guided his team to victory. His afternoon could have become legendary, but his penalty was saved by Marco Bizot.
