the publisher NewPOP announced today (16) in his live that he will publish the manga Sayonara Football. The work still doesn’t have a release date, and it won’t come by the label Sakura.
Sayonara Football tells the story of young Nozomi Onda, a girl passionate about football who has always strived to show how good she was to play with boys. However, as time passed, she was left behind. Now, she needs to prove her worth even more.
The manga is authored by Naoshi Arakawa (Your Lie in April) and was originally published in the shounen review Magazine E-nofrom the publisher Kodanshabetween 2009 and 2010. After a total of 2 bound volumes, it gained a sequel in Farewell, My Dream Creamer (2016-2020).
In 2021 it was adapted into a film by the studio Little. Entitled Farewell, My Dream Creamer – Filme – First Touchthe feature is available with subtitles on Crunchyroll.
