(Reuters) – Four-time NBA MVP LeBron James is negotiating a two-year, nearly $98 million deal with his team, the Lakers. Several media outlets reported that he entered the

LeBron, 37, became eligible for a contract extension on Thursday. He met with Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka.

LeBron will become a free agent in 2023 if talks don’t go through, but ESPN said the initial negotiations were “productive.”
