NBA: Durant issues ultimatum to Nets owner

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant has asked owner Joe Tsai to choose between keeping him or retaining coach Steve Nash and general manager Sean Marks, The Athletic reported. Tsai supported his staff in the process.

The online media reports that Kevin Durant (33) met Tsai in London for an interview during which he stressed that he no longer had confidence in the management of the team after the Nets were sadly eliminated from the playoffs by Boston in the 1st round last season.

The star winger, double NBA champion (2017 and 2018) and best NBA player in 2014, asked to be traded in June. He is entering the first season of his lucrative contract, the 4-year extension of which was signed a year ago with the Nets for an amount of 198 million dollars.

The Nets, touted as one of the favorites for the title last year, finished the regular season with a 44-38 record, falling short of expectations raised by the association of stars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden .
