NBA: An NBA player, arrested for fugitive in Miami

TAuréan Prince was arrested Thursday at Miami International Airport. On the Wolves forward, 28, there was a warrant for his arrest for a fugitive out of the state of Texas. Prince, born in San Antonio and a former player at Baylor University (Texas), was admitted to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

The charges that the player faces have not been specified, but some media have reported that the order is related to a drug issue during a traffic control.

Following the incident, the Timberwolves issued a public statement: “We are aware of the alleged report regarding Taurean Prince and are in the process of gathering more information.”

The small forward relocated to the Wolves last season. He is his fourth team in the NBA after being drafted by the Hawks in eleventh place in the 2016 draft, going through the Nets and Cavaliers. In his NBA career he has averaged 10.5 points and 3.9 and signed a two-year contract extension with Minnesota for $16 million.
