The Spaniard Aleix Espargar, 2 en the world championship of MotoGP, suffers a broken heel, after his spectacular fall on Saturday during the last free practice session of the British Grand Prix, his Aprilia team reported on Monday.

After the 12th round of the 20 championship, won by the Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), Espargar is still 2 in the World Championship, 22 points behind the leader, the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha).

“The goal is to reach the next race weekend (August 19-21, Austria) in the best physical condition possible”, concludes the squire.

At 33 years old, Espargar won his first victory this season in MotoGP, in Argentina, which also gave Aprilia its first success in the motorcycling elite.
