VfB want to extend with Silas

Wherever he is, there is a good mood…

VfB striker Silas (23) is a happy person, as it is in the book. The Congolese didn’t stop laughing when it came thick as a stick for him after a promising rocket launch. Torn cruciate ligament in March 2021 with seven months of rehab, confessed to false identity in June 2021, dislocated shoulder followed by surgery in February 2022 with five months of rehab. One and a half plague years are behind him. But now there is finally good news from Silas again.

The turbo striker is on the way back to old strength. His interpreter and VfB legend Peter Reichert two weeks ago: “Physically, Silas is even better than before the injuries. Soon he will be at the same level as before, maybe even higher.”

Last Saturday, in the 2-2 draw in Bremen, Silas scored a goal for the first time in 16 months. And soon a contract extension beckons him.

According to BILD information, VfB wants to extend his fan favorite. The current contract runs until 2024.

In the course of the contract extension, the striker’s salary should also be increased. He currently earns a little less than one million euros a year. The earnings are to be adjusted to over 1.5 million euros.

Silas is open to the proposed extension.

Not only because he now feels very comfortable in Stuttgart. He is also grateful for how VfB stood by him during the one and a half years of the epidemic. The first talks are to be held at the beginning of September.
