More than 20 organizations gather for the Sports Fair

EVENT. More than 20 organizations will gather at Woodyatt Park for the first edition of the Sports Fair, organized by the Drummondville Olympique. The population is invited to participate in free activities aimed at promoting sport, recreation and healthy lifestyles on Saturday, August 20.

“We want to get people moving. There will be activities for everyone. The goal is to publicize the various sports associations and organizations in Drummondville, for children and adults,” says Carolyne Marcoux, general manager of the Drummondville Olympique.

For example, Gymnase Drummond organizes three outdoor workouts at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The other organizations present will be RED (Drummondville sharks), Les Nixines, Drummondville aquatic network, Triomax junior, DekHockey Drummond, Drummondville badminton club, Drummond gym, Drummondville dragons, Drummondville Intersport table tennis club, Tennis association de Drummondville, Drummond Escrime, Bmx drummond, CPA Élites sur Glace Drummond – Saint-Cyrille, Pickleball, Minor Hockey, Archery, Outdoor and Outdoor Network, Drummond Parkour, Brock Baseball, Le Sentier race, the Voltigeurs de Drummondville and the Kaméléon Caravan.

The Oatrement mobile café and the Fruit-O-Mix juice and smoothie bar will be part of the party. There will be door prizes.

Carolyne Marcoux points out that the Sports Fair is organized as part of the 50th anniversary of Drummondville Olympique. “We want to celebrate with people. If we see that it’s a success, maybe we’ll make it an annual event.”

The Sports Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Note that the event is canceled in case of rain.
