On the first anniversary of Emilio’s († 18) death, Michael Ballack commemorated his beloved son with an emotional Instagram post.
Ex-soccer star Michael Ballack remembered his son, who died a year ago, on Instagram with a picture and touching words.
“My lovely angel, I remember your laughter, your happiness and your joy… I remember your light… with much love and much emotion I will pray today for your soul to rest in peace,” wrote the 45-year-old on Friday in English to a photo of his son. “I’m holding you tight to my heart.”
He also prays for Emilio’s brothers. The former national soccer player and his former wife Simone Ballack have two sons together – Louis and Jordi. Emilio died in August 2021 at the age of 18.
