‘Mexico will grow a lot in women’s basketball; there is a change and commitment’

With 24 years of age, Claudia Ramos is one of the veteran basketball players in the senior team, she has seen, first-hand, the transformation that this representative has come to give with younger players who, with the new project led by Omar Quintero, they intend to put Mexico in the most important marquees worldwide.

“We are going to grow a lot with the new players, with these tournaments like the one in COCABA and the Centrobasket. Grateful for the commitment Omar (director of national teams) and a change has already been seen, since the treatment in this concentration has been better.

“I think we are still going to experience that process, but I trust young girls a lot. Basketball in Mexico is growing a lot, but there is still a long way to go, but we are committed to that change,” said the native of Mexico. Jalisco in chat with RECORD.

Ramos played collegiately in the USA in California State University Northridge. That experience playing at the highest collegiate level helped him realize that in Mexico there is also a great talent.

“I have always said it, since I went to the United States and experienced the level there, I said ‘there is a lot of talent in Mexico’.
