Mercato: PSG seriously interested in Fofana

In search of a high-level central defender, PSG is still racing alongside Chelsea for Wesley Fofana, more than ever on the start according to Le Parisien.

Last week, at a press conference, Christophe Galtier did not hide the fact that he was still waiting for three recruits, not to mention Renato Sanches who arrived in the meantime, before the end of the summer transfer market. If a midfielder is hoped for on the side of the capital, a high-level central defender is also desired by Luis Campos and the rest of the Parisian staff.

This Monday, PSG interferes in the race with Chelsea for Wesley Fofana. Established this weekend against Brentford, the French defender may have played his last match with Leicester according to Le Parisien. The Blues, orphans of Antonio Rüdiger and Andreas Christensen, are ready to break the piggy bank to enlist the former Stéphanois and remain in pole position to welcome him.

After studying the Milan Skriniar track, deemed too expensive since Inter Milan is demanding 70 million euros to buy out the last year of the Slovak’s contract, Luis Campos would see the 21-year-old defender strengthen the Parisian rearguard according to the Ile-de-France daily. However, it is almost certain that the Foxes are claiming as large a sum as the Nerazzurri. Or even more.

As since the beginning of the summer, Paris Saint-Germain will depend on its sales in this case. If several players, such as Idrissa Gueye, are announced on the departure, Presnel Kimpembe, also a time on the shelves of Chelsea, should not leave the capital as L’Équipe wrote a few days earlier. Luis Campos will have to (again) rack his brains if he wants to offer Wesley Fofana to Christophe Galtier.
