Mercato: Naples assesses the conditions for recruiting Navas

Relegated behind Gianluigi Donnarumma in the hierarchy of goalkeepers, Keylor Navas is not certain to stay at PSG this summer. In Italy, Napoli keep the Costa Rican’s name in mind and assess the conditions necessary to recruit him according to Gianluca Di Marzio. However, the hottest track remains the one leading to Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea).

The arrival of Christophe Galtier will slightly shake up the hierarchy among PSG goalkeepers, or rather establish one. One thing is certain, the rotation set up between Gianluigi Donnarumma and Keylor Navas last season will not continue this season. The new Parisian coach preferred to be clear on this subject and announced that he wanted to work with a number 1 and a number 2 during the PSG summer tour in Japan.

Gianluigi Donnarumma has inherited the leading role, while Keylor Navas is expected to play the Italian’s understudy. Unless the Costa Rican decides to leave the capital club before the end of the summer transfer window. If the suitors are not legion and that the imposing salary of the Costa Rican remains a real obstacle for the possible interested parties, Napoli hold in high esteem the former resident of Real Madrid, triple winner of the Champions League with the Merengues.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the name of Keylor Navas appears well in the small papers of the resident of Serie A, eager to find a holder at the post. The team coached by Luciano Spaletti is advancing on the trail of Kepa Arrizabalaga but an agreement with Chelsea has still not been reached and negotiations are dragging on. Napoli is therefore evaluating the feasibility of recruiting the 35-year-old goalkeeper. If this is not specified by the Italian journalist, the Parthenopei would probably try to get the PSG doorman on loan in the event of an attempt, like the agreement negotiated with the Blues for Kepa Arrizabalaga. However, no negotiations have yet been initiated to poach him.
