Marc Márquez and Emili Alzamora, end point to a relationship of almost two decades

BarcelonaThe brothers Marc and Álex Márquez have made the decision to break with the one who has been their only manager throughout their career, the former 125cc world champion Emili Alzamora, as he has advanced the newspaper. The two have put the management of their career in the hands of the environment of the powerful Red Bull brand. It was almost two decades, 17 years, that Alzamora managed the Márquez, but the disagreements have ended up weighing until it reaches this outcome. The ex-driver’s last service was the signing of Àlex by Gresini Racing, which was confirmed before the start of the GP of the Netherlands, the last one before the holiday break.

Since then, Alzamora had not returned to the paddock, neither at Silverstone nor this weekend in Austria, at the Red Bull Ring, where Marc has reappeared to carry out several meetings on Thursday and Friday, before returning to Madrid to complete the final stretch of his recovery. At the moment none of the three protagonists has given explanations, although Alzamora has let slip that he will be in Misano.

Alzamora, from Lleida like the Márquez, from Cervera, has been like an adoptive father in the world of motorcycles for the two brothers and has managed their races since before jumping into the World Cup. Moreover, it has been team manager of both in his stage in the Spanish Speed Championship. Already in the World Cup, it has been Marc Márquez in his Moto2 stage (2011-12) and Alex Márquez in his Moto3 stage (2012-14), with world titles for them on both occasions.
