BOLASPORT.COM – Indonesian badminton legend, Hendrawan, received a number of compliments after his sportsmanship at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Praise now comes from Lee Chong Wei, a Malaysian badminton legend and former team member.

Hendrawan was in the spotlight when he accompanied the Malaysian badminton team in the match against Jamaica in the group stage of the 2022 Commonwealth Games mixed team number.

Hendrawan served as Malaysia’s men’s singles coach so he sat on the sidelines when Ng Tze Yong fought Samuel O’Brien Cricket at the National Exhibition Centre, England, Friday (29/7/2022).

The incident then occurred at the start of the second game when the sole of the shoe Ricketts was wearing suddenly burst.

Ricketts didn’t seem to be carrying spare boots and was confused about being able to continue the match.

From cutting the soles of damaged shoes to borrowing a teammate’s shoes Ricketts did but nothing worked.

Hendrawan took the initiative to help.

Barefoot the 50-year-old man carried his shoes for Ricketts to use so he could continue the match.

Coincidentally Hendrawan’s shoe size matched Ricketts. Both brands and types of shoes are the same.
