LeBron James to extend to Lakers for two more years

LeBron James will extend his contract with the Lakers. The American superstar has agreed with his franchise for a new lease until the 2024-2025 season (player option) with the Los Angeles franchise, for a sum of around 100 million dollars (98 million euros) , according to information from ESPN and its journalist Adrian Wojnarowski.

Thanks to this new contract, James becomes the first player to exceed 500 million dollars (491 million euros) in his career in a single contract. He arrived at the Lakers in 2018 from Cleveland.

For the record, LeBron James won NBA titles with the Miami Heat (2012, 2013), the Cleveland Cavaliers (2016) and the Lakers (2020), either with the clubs whose colors he wore. He also has four MVP titles (2009, 2010, 2012, 2013) in the regular season.
