‘Leave Manchester United No Need To Think Twice!’ – Alex Telles relieved to join Sevilla

Alex Telles joined Sevilla on a loan deal and said he “didn’t think twice” about leaving Manchester United for the La Liga giants.

The Brazilian left-back was bought by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer two years ago but has struggled to replace Luke Shaw from the club starting XI.

Last season Telles had plenty of chances, appearing 26 times in all competitions, but the arrival of new boss Erik ten Hag’s Tyrell Malacia will limit his playing time even more.

What does Telles say about Man United and Sevilla?

Telles also got into a fight with youngster Hannibal Mejbri after being beaten by Brighton last May. The two had to be separated and the coach at the time, Ralf Rangnick, even stopped training. Ten Hag is aware of this dispute and allows Telles to leave, while Mejbri is predicted to get a chance to appear this season.

The 29-year-old player also opened up about a transfer to Palanganas – Sevilla’s nickname which means basin – and admitted that he had been impatient to move to Spain since the first contact.

“I’m very happy to be at this great club. From the moment I got the message to come here, I didn’t think twice,” Telles told Sports stadium.

“I’m ready for this important week, where La Liga has already started.”

Pressed further about his transfer, Telles did not bother about the absence of a purchase option in his loan agreement to Sevilla.

He added: “Life is step by step. Now I am here and will think about this important year for the sake of everyone.”

“I’m not thinking about the future. The future depends on the present. I want to do well and give my best. I’m proud of my career development because I’ve come this far, past big clubs.”

“There are no difficulties for me, I always think positive and want to work hard to get to where I want to be.”

Next up for Man United and Telles

When Sevilla finished fourth last season to qualify for the Champions League, parent club Telles had to live one year in the Europa League because he was only able to finish sixth.

The presence of Ten Hag was expected to improve MU’s fortunes, but Brighton surprised the Dutch coach by rewarding him with defeat in his debut match on Sunday (7/8) yesterday.

The Red Devils will return to action on Saturday (13/8) when they visit Brentford.
