The best Spanish badminton players train for two weeks in La Nucía to prepare for the Absolute World Cup in Tokyo 2022.
The Spanish Badminton Federation (FESBA) has chosen “La Nucia, City of Sports” to carry out a concentration in this month of August and prepare the international competitions that are played this same month of August.
La Nucía has received the best badminton players on the national scene so that they can prepare for the World Cup in Tokyo. Although junior players are also concentrated to prepare for the Belgrade European Championship in that category.
For 15 days they are carrying out double training sessions using both the Pavilion, gym, swimming pool, as well as rooms for technical and tactical talks.
Spanish badminton faces some intense weeks of preparation with a view to the next sporting challenges and it does so in La Nucía.
Once again the excellent facilities of the Ciutat Esportiva Camilo Cano in La Nucía have acted as a magnet for them to be chosen by a national federation to hold a 2-week concentration with 30 players.
It involves 15 players who train at the CAR in Madrid and 15 Junior and Absolute players who are followed by the Federation.
The mayor of La Nucía, Bernabé Cano, visited the FESBA concentration and wished all the players luck for their next international commitments.
The concentration is headed by the technical director, Arturo Ruiz, with the FESBA staff and other renowned technicians such as Dolores Marco, Salvador Franco, Carlos Rubio and Manuel Vázquez.

Among the 30 concentrates, the presence of the Olympian Clara Azurmendi, Bea Corrales, silver in the Mediterranean Games of Oran 2022 or Kike Peñalver, double silver in the Mediterranean Games of Oran 2022, stands out.
