Kevin Durant wants to be traded to the Celtics to play with Marcus Smart

Kevin Durant seems to have his days numbered in the Brooklyn Nets and one of his preferred destinations is the Boston Celtics, who have already sent their first offer for the player, which was rejected by the New York board.

This Thursday Ian Begley, of SNY TV, said that Durant has the Celtics as one of his favorite teams to be traded because of his interest in joining forces with Marcus Smart, whom he respects and with whom he believes he can form an interesting team, especially for his defensive ability. If KD arrives in Boston, Jaylen Brown would leave for Brooklyn, something that is not yet sealed.

Remember that Boston has already sent a first offer for Durant, which consisted of Jaylen Brown, point guard Derrick White and a first-round draft pick, which was rejected by the Nets front office.

The Philadelphia 76ers also came up this week as another possible destination for Durant, who has a four-year, $194.2 million deal with Brooklyn that will give him at least $42 million a year in salary.

The Nets also made an offer to the Minnesota Timberwolves weeks ago, offering Durant in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and 4 NBA Draft picks.
