José Eugenio ‘Cheché’ Hernández completed two weeks of hospitalization and detailed medical care, due to a heart condition that alerted everyone in Patriotas Boyacá. The technical director had to be transferred from Tunja to Bogotá, and he left Intensive Care after being treated by specialists.
In the last hours, ‘Cheché’ underwent a decisive surgical intervention for his health and so that you can carry on with normality the rest of your daily life.

“In the last two weeks, the ‘teacher’ has had a satisfactory evolution, we were able to release him from intensive care to the hospitalization area. He underwent a procedure that at the time was thought to be going well, but his cardiac arrhythmia relapsed, therefore it required much more advanced management”, was the medical account of the ‘Cheché’ made by Camilo Camargo, Chief Medical Officer of Patriotas .
“It was essential that he be fitted with a pacemaker, an intervention that was carried out this Sunday; this Monday he has another procedure that also seeks to reduce those cardiac arrhythmic foci that he may have, ”he added.
The doctor Camargo announced that Hernández “you may have cardiac rehab sessions that will take two to three months; Later, an assessment will be made to see how his condition continues and what else needs to be done.”
When will the ‘Cheché’ lead again? That is not known, the only thing is that the coach “emotionally is very good, he has spoken with the players through a video call, he has encouraged them. He is also with his family, which helps a lot”.
