Ivory Coast: World Basketball 2023, the Elephants snatch their qualification ticket by crushing Cape Verde 77 – 69

It’s done, the senior Ivorian team of basketball won this Sunday, August 28, 2022 its qualification for the 2023 World Cup.

At the Sports Palace Treichvilleas observed on site today, the elephants won against the Cape Verdean team.

After their victory against Nigeria and Uganda, Côte d’Ivoire beat the CapVert by 77-69 this Sunday at the Palais des Sports in Treichville on the third day of the penultimate window of the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers.

This victory allows Côte d’Ivoire to participate in the final phase of the world for the 5th time in its history after 1982, 1986, 2010 and 2019.

In their last 9 games, the Ivorians remain unbeatable.

For this 4th window which took place at Abidjanthem elephants qualify for the 19th edition of the World Cup Men’s Basketball World Championship FIBA.

This edition will take place in Indonesiaau Japan and in the Philippines from August 25 to September 10, 2023.

Côte d’Ivoire will be one of the 32 teams that will participate in this second tournament of the new cycle which began in 2019.
