The deputy leader of the Greens parliamentary group, Konstantin von Notz, complained on Twitter about “disloyal behavior and resentment” in the coalition. “The poor performance of the Federal Chancellor, his lousy poll numbers, memory gaps at Warburg and his responsibility at Nord Stream 2” could not be “cured” in this way,” wrote the member of the Bundestag on Sunday evening.

The reason for the harsh words is likely to be criticism by the SPD politicians Lars Klingbeil and Dirk Wiese of Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens) because of the controversial gas levy, which will be due for all gas customers from October 1st.
