In the championship that lasted for 7 days in Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Karşıyaka Sports Hall and Bornova Atatürk Sports Complex, especially in Karşıyaka, where our Crescent-Star team played their matches, the hall was packed in every exam of our nationals.
The people of Izmir, who gave great support to our youth in the group matches and in the finals, were the driving force for our team to reach the finals. In the Spanish final, the hall for 5,000 people filled hours beforehand, and hundreds of spectators stayed outside. The people of Izmir, who could not fit into the hall, watched the match on the giant screen set up in the KSK Fan Zone. Even though our nationals did not reach the championship goal in the final, the spectators, the Crescent-Stars, embraced them with chants of “Turkey is proud of you”. The stands gave a gentlemanly applause to the champion Spanish basketball players.
