Race 5 is the prerogative of Parma, which beats UnipolSai Fortitudo 3-2 and goes on again, also in this case for 3-2, in an extremely hard-fought championship semifinal with a fluctuating result.
Although Fortitudo baseball confirms its aggressive character in the batting box, Parma immediately took the leadtaking advantage of an unexpected collapse of Andretta that after two quick eliminations, he runs into three bases balls and concedes a point, before returning to win his challenges with pitchers.
At the top of the third, Fortitudo equalized the score by going 1-1: Deotto immediately puts a hit and in spite of the subsequent double play, Agretti e Josephina they strike valid and then Gonzalez Taveras fills the bases by getting hit. A crazy toss while Martini is in the batter’s box allows Agretti to score.
But at the change of field, comes yet another Parma home run in the series. With a man first for base ball, Mineo scores a 2-point home run that causes Andretta to be replaced by Bassaniis that leads Parma on 3-1.
