As so often in life, the story begins with a coincidence. Fabiano Wey is sitting on a bike in the fitness room of the Swiss Paraplegic Center (SPZ), he loves this sport and knows that regular exercise is good for him. A disorder of the nervous system causing problems with balance, the so-called polyneuropathic ataxia was identified early in Wey’s life and has become increasingly evident in recent years.
