Football: Rodez formalizes the arrivals of Mouyokolo and Boma, the 3rd hoped-for defender will have to wait

Rodez Aveyron football indicates that it will welcome two defensive reinforcements this Tuesday, August 9, four days before the trip to Nîmes in Ligue 2 for which it only had two professional central defenders left.

It was expected. Even advertised. It is now official. The Lorient Loris Mouyokolo (21 years old) and the ex-Angevin Kévin Boma (19 years old) are Ruthénois. The first will wear the blood and gold tunic for a season since the Hakes have lent him to the Raf for this duration, as planned. For the second, it is a three-year contract that he initialed. These two were already in training this Tuesday, in Vabre. Boma on the ground, for the two sessions of the day. Mouyokolo only on the indoor bike this afternoon for insurance issues.

President Pierre-Olivier Murat has therefore kept his word with these two arrivals, he who had tried to appease the powerful disagreement which opposed him to his coach Laurent Peyrelade on this subject, last Friday on the eve of the reception of Bordeaux (for a slap 0-3). Well almost… Because the boss had not announced two defensive reinforcements, but three, from “Monday or Tuesday”. The third, whose name has not filtered but whose profile would lean more to the right of the defense, was also expected for a signature today. But, according to our information, and while the Raf and the Ligue 1 club concerned have agreed on a one-year loan, a timing problem would have delayed his arrival. One thing seems certain, the latter will not be able to be potentially aligned this Saturday in Nîmes for the account of the 3rd day of Ligue 2, unlike Boma and Mouyokolo who will then qualify.

A relief for Peyrelade who only counted before these arrivals on two centrals currently available, Chougrani and Raux-Yao. But will he trust his young recruits so soon? Or will he play it safe by bringing down a notch, for example, defensive midfielder Bradley Danger who has already helped out at the post? This Tuesday, his assistant Emerick Darbelet led the two training sessions. Sessions in which the titular doorman did not take part, author of a very small performance for his first at Paul-Lignon against the Girondins, Sébastien Cibois. The defector from Brest this summer being “in care”, the club was told, for whistling adductors.

Finally, note and as a reminder that other reinforcement(s), this time in attack, are possibly expected at the end of the week.
