Benjamin Sesko (19) is considered one of the upcoming football superstars. And it already has a promising reputation: as the new Haaland!
“These comparisons motivate me and give me energy,” Sesko is quoted as saying by the Spanish newspaper “El Mundo Deportivo”. “There is no pressure. I will listen to be even better than him.”
Top clubs chasing “new Haaland”
Sesko (10 million market value) plays for Austrian club RB Salzburg, where Erling Haaland (22) also started his career turbo before moving to BVB and now to ManCity. Both are center forwards. Both are real giants, almost two meters tall. And still incredibly fast and dangerous. So it’s no wonder that they like to be compared.

“My colleagues at the club told me that Haaland and I are very similar, especially in terms of speed,” said Sesko confidently. “Most of them even tell me that I’m better than him.” He now wants to show that.
As reported by “El Mundo Deportivo”, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, PSG, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have already asked about him. Supposedly, it should amount to a bet for him.

Good for Salzburg: Sesko, who moved from Slovenian club NK Domzale to Austria in 2019 as a 16-year-old for 2.5 million euros, still has a contract until 2026. The cash register should ring when a sale is made. The Ösi-Klub is said to have valued him internally at a whopping 65 million euros.
At Haaland, the transfer fee at the beginning of 2020 when he moved to Dortmund was a good 20 million euros. It is quite possible that the new Haaland will already surpass him with his fee.
