According to Fabrizio Romano, FC Schalke 04 are strengthening their attack. Accordingly, Jordan Larsson, who was last active for Spartak Moscow and is currently without a club, is about to sign with the Knappen. A basic agreement has already been reached – after major efforts on the part of manager Rouven Schröder.
Larsson is due to arrive in Germany soon with advisor Hasan Cetinkaya to complete the medical check (according to Bild on Thursday afternoon) and to finalize the deal. Implementation could therefore take place quite promptly. Sky reports in this context that the player was recently offered to Celtic FC and Nottingham Forest, among others.
Larsson (1.75 m) was mainly used in the center forward during his career. But he was also allowed to play on the flanks (mainly on the right) and sometimes as a hanging point/in the offensive midfield. The left-footer, who was loaned home to AIK Solna in recent months, made a total of 83 appearances for Moscow, in which he provided 27 goals and nine assists.
